Describe your project

Count pieces, not both sides. Unusual end panels need review.

Compare kitchens with 16–60 doors and drawer fronts in total, sound finishes, and no grain filling. Other conditions need a scope review.

Count each door as one piece.

Sound surfaces allow routine preparation. Damage, peeling, or an unknown finish needs inspection.

Where the prices come from

Durahome Painting Plus publishes $150 per door or drawer front for two coats, or $175 for three, with visible box faces. We multiply your count by those two rates. We do not assume volume discounts or add repairs. The range compares two finishing scopes, not the spread of market prices.

We round endpoints outward to $50 increments. Prices appear only for the comparable scope described. Outside the Twin Cities, use the measurements and checklist as a starting point and request local pricing.

Before requesting quotes

  • Count each door once and each drawer front once.
  • Photograph boxes, end panels, visible grain, and failing finishes.
  • Specify door backs, frames, exposed ends, and box interiors.
  • Confirm application method, primer, coats, reinstallation, and cure time.

Common questions

Should I count both sides of each door?

Count the door once. The range uses a per-door or drawer-front rate with visible box faces included. Confirm door backs and end panels in the quote.

What do the two prices compare?

It compares the published $150 per front for two coats with $175 for three. It is not a market average or a statistical confidence interval.

What if the finish is peeling or I want the grain filled?

The planner keeps your count but calls for a scope review before showing a price. We do not invent a surcharge for work without a comparable basis.
