Where the range comes from

Advanced Painting Services publishes $450–$900 for the walls of a 12 × 12 ft room, and $900–$1,800 with ceiling and trim. Our model assumes an 8 ft ceiling (384 sq ft of walls) and scales both endpoints by your gross wall area. That conversion is a PaintJobCalc assumption, not a published square-foot rate.

We round endpoints outward to $50 increments. Prices appear only for the comparable scope described. Outside the Twin Cities, use the measurements and checklist as a starting point and request local pricing.

Before requesting quotes

  • List each room and surface: walls, ceiling, and trim.
  • Photograph cracks, stains, loose paint, and difficult access.
  • Confirm preparation, primer, product, and coat count in writing.
  • Compare protection, cleanup, furniture moving, and taxes in each quote.

Common questions

Is this a PaintCrafters quote?

No. This model uses another Twin Cities contractor’s public guide. PaintCrafters prepares its own written estimate after reviewing the work.

Why use room dimensions?

Perimeter multiplied by height gives gross wall area. The model scales a reference room; it does not deduct openings because their edges also require work.

Can I use it for the whole house?

Plan one room at a time. Do not add results as though they were a quote: shared setup, access, and service minimums change the total.
